Measured search speeds are: 

Modified version 
360 steps/sec with 5 kHz search step (turbo mode) 1.8 MHz/sec 
160 steps/sec with 25 kHz search step (4 MHz) 

Regular model: 
250 steps/sec with 5 kHz search step size(turbo mode) 1.25MHz/sec 
80 steps/sec with 25 kHz search step size (2 MHz/sec) 
 

Measured Scanning speeds are: 
(speed measured with 246 freqency's stored in memory)

Modified version: 
130 step/sec 

Regular version: 
83 step/sec (5 different units give results 70-83 steps/sec)

We can say proudly that the modified radio has over 50%
faster Scan rate compared to out-of-factory units.
All modified unit will be at least 30% faster than regular units are 
speed conversion are dependant on individual unit, testing,
stored frequencies etc. 
Every unit has highest possible speed depending on the unit
itself, we perform tests to every unit and speed is limited to value that gives the best possible performance and will pass test program. 
 

Every unit can be checked and software version should be 
1.05 or higher. 

You can easily check the softaware revision version that is your unit, just press Delay, 2, 9 simultanously and turn power on, then push Lock and D same time and display like above should appear. 
(regular versions are: V0.09 for us model and check sum
1410, V2.09 Eu model with check sum 1411 

Check sum can be seen in right up corner on display and its
015C in software version V1.05 in our modified models. 
 
 

Update 10.01.2001

Quite many people have ask from me, didnt i know that possiblity to mod UBC-9000 before?
and answer is NO,
I did find out this possiblity in friday 5.01.2001 so before that day i didnt have even glue of that possiblity, I just dream that should be possible.

Thanks to my friends OH5JEI and UPI (also my fiance who was patiend and let me work in hole weekend) who help me much in this mod desing, with out them i wasnt be this fast to present this mod for you my fellow hobbyist!
